A bustling energetic place filled with amazing Japanese street food and other local favorites. Not many places to sit and eat your food is the only drawback.

Lots of street food and cheap stands that sell seafood and fruits for easily haggle-able price. Super fun for a nice day out!

Local Japanese seafood stalls with lots and lots of fresh seafood smells in the air. The vibe and the vibrancy of the city buzz in this place. The walking around is enough to soak in the ambience and I don't think japan is a single race as I've seen lots of foreigners here making a decent living selling Turkish ice cream, kebab and Chinese stir fry. Multi-racial diversity at it's best

Nice marketplace under and around the rail tracks, such efficient use space, so well constructed and maintained, even shacks or "holes in the wall" here in Tokyo can often look like something very special, people here really do take pride in their work. Beautiful!

So youre a veteran foreigner and start to crave for your home meal.. this is the place.. you can get fresh seafood and all the home spices, veggies, fruits... cant complain the price because just being thankful that they provide all the supplies

Not as my expectation!. This road is indeed crowded and lively, but there are so many non-Japanese shops that feels like it's not in Japan. The price of food here is quite cheap compared to outside this area. Overall, not bad but not memorable.

General rat race market with vegetables, grocery, fish, clothes, jewellery and very much all brick and brack for sale. Lots of knock off of brands. Chinese market in basement.

Lots to see and loads to but! You can get everything from fish to special spices, shoes to hats, fakes to high brands and loads of good food! Only place I but sneakers, my go to is Mita Sneakers in the central shopping building!!

Open air market next to Ueno Station. Sells everything from fresh seafood to luggage and shoes. Lots of food stalls offering world cuisine as well.
